The perfect fit for your optimum performance

STEP 2
Review Giro sizing guidelines

Take down your measurements for the relevant item then continue to complete the questionnaire:

Giro was founded more than 30 years ago by Jim Gentes, a man with an obsession for design and answering unmet needs. That obsession led him to start making his own products, and ultimately resulted in a company committed to serving the rider through personal expression and advanced performance.

Giro helmets with the Mips Brain Protection System offer more comprehensive protection that can help to reduce the energy transmitted to your brain in the event of an impact. Less energy transferred to your brain during a crash equals more protection for you.

The first step in buying a helmet is determining how you will use it. If you fast downhills on your mountain bike, then consider either a trail or enduro model, which will have greater protection for the back of your head than a road-style helmet, which tends to prioritize ventilation and weight over added side and back protection. The choice is vital and at Fit Right Cycle we will help you make choose the perfect helmet for your needs.

Giro gloves offer great protection and comfort. The Elastic Interface Palm does a good job at protecting your hands from vibrations, while the excellent fit and seamless construction make them very comfortable.

Fit Right Cycle will help you choose the right helmet and gloves for your riding style, goals, injury concerns and budget.

Bike Helmet Size Guide

How to measure your size

Wrap a measuring tape around your head, keeping the tape level from front to back. Note the measurement and reference the Size Guide. Note: Make sure the helmet fits with a little room when the fit system is loose, and sits low enough to protect your forehead without hindering your vision. Once you’ve got the right size, you can adjust the fit.

Glove Size Guide

Measuring your hand for the best fit

You can measure the length and width of your hand as illustrated above, and use the Size Guide to determine your size.

  1. Wrap the tape measure around your hand at the widest part of the palm, and lightly close your hand to get your Hand Width measurement.

  2. Once you have that measurement recorded, use a tape measure to determine the length of your hand from the tip of your longest finger to the base of your palm at the wrist. This is your Hand Length measurement.

  3. You can then compare the measurements of your hand with the data supplied in the Size Guide to determine the best fitting size for you.

How to measure your size

Be sure to keep the tape level, and not too tight. To determine your waist size, wrap a measuring tape around your natural waist. To determine your hip size, wrap a measuring tape around the widest part of your hips. Then, use the chart as a guide, but allow for some variance based on how you prefer the garment to fit.
